Ryugado Cave Museum

A wide range of research material about the cave is on public display such as the geological and scientific formation of the cave, the animals inhabiting the cave and their habitats, the preservation of and remains of the cave-dwelling Yayoi people (from around 300 BC to about 300 AD), and education material about the surrounding natural environment (geological features, rocks, biology, archaeology, geo-history and human habitation). The museum, including Ryugado Cave, is run as an open-air museum.
